Author Guidelines
Instructions for Authors
Please ensure that your manuscripts are (i) original, (ii) not being submitted elsewhere, and (iii) at least 30% different from their originally-published/presented versions on conference considerations from the same authors.
Your manuscripts to be submitted to IJBM must be written in English, particularly with British spellings using MS Word. Foreign words should be written in italic.
The IJBM manuscript template provides some further general guidelines on the style of IJBM's manuscripts. For example, the manuscripts should begin with an abstract not exceeding 200 words in length, highlighting at least the main issue(s)/objective(s), method(s), outcome(s) and implication(s) of the manuscript.
Equation Editor built-in MS Word or any third-party software should be used to construct maths equations, meaning that maths equations should be submitted as editable texts and not as images.
Any artwork including illustrations, pictures and graphs should be submitted with a minimum resolution of 240 dpi (dots per inch).
Statement of Ethics and Author Responsibilities – IJBM
The International Journal of Business Management (IJBM) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication process—authors, reviewers, and editors. By submitting a manuscript to IJBM, authors confirm adherence to these principles, including ethical data use and integrity in reporting.
Research Results - Research must be conducted ethically, using valid and documented methods. Data should be properly collected, analyzed, and recorded to allow verification. Misconduct such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or selective reporting is strictly prohibited. Authors must correct any errors identified post-submission, including retraction if necessary. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is not allowed.
Authorship and Publication - Authors must ensure their manuscript reflects sound methodology, ethical research practices, and accurate analysis. Authorship should be limited to individuals who contributed significantly to the research. All sources, tools, or copyrighted materials used must be properly cited and permission obtained. Financial support and ethical approval must be disclosed, and proper acknowledgment given to others who contributed.
Collaborations - All co-authors share responsibility for the content. The corresponding author must ensure all collaborators approve the final version and agree to its submission. Those unable to accept this responsibility should not be listed as co-authors.
Peer Review - Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest. Reviews should be objective, respectful, and based solely on the content. Reviewers are encouraged to highlight missing citations, incorrect references, or potential overlaps with other work. Any concerns should be discussed with the editor.
Editorial Responsibilities - Editors have full authority over acceptance or rejection of manuscripts, guided by quality, relevance, and originality. All submissions must be judged fairly, without bias based on authors' background, identity, or affiliation. Editors must ensure confidentiality, manage conflicts of interest, and act promptly on suspected ethical issues, including retractions or bans on future submissions if necessary.
English Language Editing - Manuscripts must be professionally edited for language clarity. Authors must provide a certificate or written statement from a recognized editing service upon submission. All editing costs are borne by the authors. This ensures clarity in peer review and supports timely publication.
Peer Review Process
Peer Review Policy
The International Journal of Business Management (IJBM) adopts a double-blind peer review system to maintain high standards of academic quality and research ethics. Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure impartial and unbiased evaluations. Each manuscript submitted is reviewed by a minimum of two independent experts selected based on their academic and professional expertise relevant to the manuscript's topic. Reviewers assess submissions for originality, methodological soundness, relevance to the field, and adherence to ethical guidelines.
Review Process and Timeline
The peer review process includes several possible outcomes: acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions (requiring resubmission), or rejection. Reviewers provide constructive feedback, and the final decision on the manuscript is made by the editor based on these reports and any revisions submitted by the author. The entire process typically takes between one to three months, depending on the reviewer’s availability and the nature of revisions required.
